You can engage in your child’s learning at home and school in many ways. The school council provides advice on school matters and helps to strengthen the important relationship between schools, families and their communities. The council includes family members, school staff and community members.
Please contact our school office for more information on School Council minutes.
Membership
Here at Mount Joy we believe that relationships between our school and community can be strengthened through our School Council. The Council serves as a means of improving student learning and school effectiveness. Our School Council is representative of all parents with a focus on student achievement. Our school council assists the school in creating, refining and augmenting our school improvement plan. Our council maintains a school-wide perspective on issues presented during regularly scheduled meetings. Our members act as a link between our school and the community.
There are clear goals and purposes for all fundraising events our School Council engages in. Community resources are tapped on occasion for the benefit of the students.
